Garbage Collection

Curb appeal and cleanliness play equally important roles in the beautification of our Downtown. The BIA manages all the hanging baskets and barrels along Manitoba street and the surrounding side streets. We also make arrangements with the Town of Bracebridge throughout the warmer months to have the street sweeper clean up the area. However, as a business owner you are responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of garbage, general cleanliness of the sidewalk and curb area in front of your businesses. This includes the regular removal of cigarette butts.

  • Overflowing garbage cans should be reported to the BIA office (705) 646-5590 so that we can make arrangements for a pick up.

  • If your garbage is missed or it has been tagged you are responsible for getting rid it. Please do not leave it on the street.

  • Garbage can be placed out the evening before but is not to be left out for days.

    Pick Up Day - Monday

All businesses must have garbage tags inorder to place their garbage at the curb, if you have not recieved your tags please contact the District of Muskoka, garbage must be placed against your building no later than
