Snow Removal

Muskoka can receive a lot of snow and the BIA works closely with the Town of Bracebridge to ensure the snowbanks are removed on a regular basis. However, the day-to-day maintenance of the sidewalk is the responsibility of the business owners. All snow must be removed from the edge of your building to the curb and we ask that you get it as clean as you possibly can. This will allow those that have mobility issues a chance to move around on our street. The Town of Bracebridge is still committed to doing a courtesy pass with the sidewalk plough. However, you are responsible for clearing the rest of the snow.

Members are expected to keep their snow shoveled from the side of their building to the curb. It must be done within 4 hours after a snow fall and we ask that you get it down to the cement where possible. Failure to do so will result in a charge from the By-law department.
