The BIA is comprised of all commercial property owners and business owners within a designated area of Bracebridge. The boundaries lines were set by the Town of Bracebridge in 1981 and amended in 2001. Currently, the BIA extends along Manitoba Street, from Ontario Street to just passed Monck Road. It also includes some streets on both sides of Manitoba Street and extends onto a portion of Ecclestone Drive. The BIA is over 200 members strong and has a diverse mix of members which include; retail, restaurant, hotel and specialty services. Furthermore we are recognized as Muskoka’s Downtown

Community Improvement Plan Programs
Through the Town of Bracebridge Community Improvement Plan, the Town of Bracebridge has developed a financial incentives program to stimulate and encourage development and redevelopment in key areas of the Town. Loan and grant packages are available for industrial, commercial and mixed-use projects that increase the functionality of existing buildings, promote the development of vacant and underutilized sites, and improve or restore exterior building facades and signage.

Blade (Perpendicular) Signage Guidelines and Program
Downtown is becoming more colourful with the introduction of specialty Blade Signs providing increased store front advertising and visibility to on-coming vehicular and pedestrian traffic. These signs will greatly
enhance the appearance and visual presence of businesses in the downtown. The BIA in partnership with the Town of Bracebridge Signage Program offers cost saving opportunities for these types of signs.

Curb Appeal in the Downtown
Curb appeal can account for up to 70% of the first time sales and includes everything from signage, beautification, cleanliness and outdoor retail displays. Outdoor retail displays can be beautiful and be a
successful sales tools, luring customers inside your shops and restaurants. With this in mind the BIA with the help of the Town of Bracebridge have create a set of guidelines for businesses to follow.
Curb Appeal Guidelines
Every quarter BIA releases an electronic newsletter featuring upcoming events in the downtown core. Furthermore members will receive weekly emails keep the membership informed of what is happening with the BIA area.
The BIA assists member businesses and other organizations in creating an inviting and vital atmosphere in downtown Bracebridge by sponsoring and/or producing events in the downtown area. Events run by the BIA include; Fire and Ice, Father’s Day Car Show, Canada Day, Midnight Madness, Street Festival, Colourfest Street Fair, Santa’s Moonlight Shopping Party Featuring the Festival of the Lights.
The Bracebridge BIA works with other community stakeholders, primarily Town Council and Administration, to develop strategies to improve downtown Bracebridge as a great place to live, invest and visit.
Co-operative Advertising/Marketing Opportunities
The BIA offers a variety of ways to maximize your advertising/ marketing dollar by offering several opportunities through co-operative ventures. The BIA is currently investigating several models for co-operative advertising, on behalf of its membership.
